How to use Internet Privacy Properly

Internet privacy is a subset of data privacy. Privacy concerns have been articulated from the beginnings of large scale computer sharing. Privacy can entail either Personally Identifying Information (PII) or non-PII information such as a site visitor's behavior on a website. In today's society more and more young people are being exposed to the internet in many different ways. It has the potential for positive and negative outcomes. We have seen both, worldwide, the incline of teen suicide due to cyber bullying has sky rocketed over the past five years. On the other hand the internet is a way for friends and family to keep in contact through social media and long distance. Something that is so crucial for every person using the internet to be aware of though is that nothing, NOTHING is private. Whether or not you have something such as a "private profile" there are still a million different ways hackers or just another person can access your information, pictures, messages and etc. The internet is a dangerous place and requires you to be incredibly aware of what you post and read.
